Duncan Financial Group is located in Irwin, PA and offers great benefits and competitive pay. We are seeking an Insurance Operations Manager specializing in personal and commercial lines to join our team.

Position Summary:

Support divisional goals of the insurance division as set forth by the executive team.

Specifically provide daily management of work processes and procedures for the personal lines, commercial lines and group benefits customer service teams, fostering an environment that provides exceptional customer service experience and drives operational excellence in performance and quality throughout the insurance operation.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Create, maintain and update policies, procedures and workflows
  • Audit customer service workflows/policies and procedures when deficiencies are identified provide training
  • Organize resources to accommodate workflow and improve operational efficiencies; assign work as necessary. When personal and/or commercial lines customer service team is understaffed or service demands require the insurance operations manager needs to function as a member of the team by completing tasks in lieu of delegating.
  • Train new employees on work flows/policies and procedures
  • Manages commercial and personal lines customer service team overall employee performance; performing reviews annually or more often as necessary. Participates in decisions involving disciplinary and corrective action. Provides input for group benefits customer service team employee performance to the group benefits manager.
  • Maintain solid working relationships with personal lines carrier partners to ensure agency and carrier goals. Manage all company visits for personal and commercial carriers. Support agency principals with KIG paperwork and reporting requirements
  • Prepare sales reports for the insurance operation as requested
  • Nonessential functions:

  • Maximize personal lines profitability based on predetermined budget and allocation provided by the executive team
  • Collaboration with members of the management and executive team
  • Collaborate with commercial lines management(John and David) to support their stated visions and goals for the department
  • Collaborate with group benefits manager to support the operational requirements and objectives to successfully administer the department
  • Minimize time out of the office ;all out of office time must be preapproved by John Duncan
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Create a culture of efficiency, excellence and positive employee morale

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand or sit, reach, bend, and move in an office environment
Some light physical effort is required
